General Announcement: Teach Swimming at Vancouver Pools
Last edited by admin on Thu, 01/19/2012 - 21:42There is a potential course coming up at Spring Break that would allow our older swimmers (15 years or older) to get their AWSI (Assistant Water Safety Instructor) and WSI (Water Safety Instructor) qualifications. Once you have these, you can work at any of the Vancouver pools teaching. You also have an important qualification toward a life-guarding certificate.
Zack at the Lord Byng pool is trying to pull together enough students to run these courses just before and over Spring Break. Call Zack at Lord Byng (604 222 6090) for more information if you are interested.
Upcoming VIK Executive Meetings - Spring 2012

The Simple Explanation for the 2 Hour Rule & School Swim Teams

To help explain this Stephanie Rabbers, President of the Saanich Peninsula Piranhas typed up this guideline, which is easy to understand so everyonne knows what the rules are. We thought we had to share it with you because it is such a great resource for everyone.
